# Messages

AI-generated outreach drafts personalized to each prospect.

The Messages page shows all your AI-generated outreach organized into three tabs: **Drafts**, **Scheduled**, and **Sent**.

## How Drafting Works

Select leads anywhere in Starlight and click **Draft Messages with AI** to open the fullscreen **Outbound builder**. There you:

1. **Write a brief** — describe the goal of the campaign in your own words (or let AI enhance your brief)

2. **Choose how it sounds** — pick the voice, length, and send shape for this campaign

3. **Optionally enable Research** — Starlight searches the web for each recipient's background, company news, and recent activity

4. **Preview and approve** — review a draft for every recipient, then approve to send the batch to Messages

Drafts are never sent automatically — every message waits for your approval.

## Reviewing Drafts

Each draft appears in the **Drafts** tab for your review. You can:

- **Edit** the subject line and body before sending
- **Revise with AI** opens your AI agent in chat — describe the change you want and it rewrites that specific message in place, leaving the other channels as they are
- **Approve** to move it to the Scheduled tab
- **Reject** to discard it
- **Pin** important leads for priority review

## Scheduled Sending

Approved messages are automatically scheduled during optimal business hours:

- **Tuesday–Thursday**: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
- **Monday**: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- **Friday**: 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM
- **Weekends**: No sends

Send times use **each recipient's timezone** when it's known, so your message lands during their workday — not yours. National holidays in the recipient's country are skipped, and messages are staggered so they don't all land at the same moment.

## Multi-Channel Support

Messages can be sent via **email**, **LinkedIn**, or **X**, depending on the campaign's send shape. Email messages require a connected Gmail or Outlook account. LinkedIn and X messages are sent in one click through the [Starlight Chrome extension](/docs/integrations/chrome-extension). When a campaign opens with a connection request, sending that request automatically moves the follow-up **Message** to the Scheduled tab — it shows **Waiting for connection acceptance** and unlocks to send once the prospect accepts.
