Instantly

Plug in your Instantly workspace to send from its mailboxes, pre-warmed or not.

|

Connect your Instantly workspace and every mailbox in it becomes a sender in Starlight: the inboxes you connected to Instantly yourself and the pre-warmed or done-for-you inboxes you bought there. Starlight sends your messages from them and reads the replies that land in them, the same way it does with Gmail and Outlook.

Setup

1

1. Go to Connectors

Click Connectors in the sidebar and scroll to the Instantly section

2

2. Create an API key in Instantly

Click Connect. The dialog opens Instantly's API keys page (Settings, Integrations, API Keys). Create a v2 key named Starlight with the scopes accounts:read, emails:read, emails:create and emails:update, or simply all scopes

3

3. Paste the key

Instantly shows the key once. Paste it into the dialog and click Connect. Starlight checks it, stores it encrypted, and imports every mailbox in the workspace

Which mailboxes are used

  • Every mailbox that is Active in Instantly is ready to send. A mailbox you pause in Instantly, or one with a connection error there, is paused here too.
  • Pre-warmed and done-for-you inboxes are marked Pre-warmed. They skip Starlight's two-week warm-up ramp, since Instantly already warmed them.
  • Each mailbox starts at Instantly's daily limit, capped at 40 a day. Change it per mailbox in the Email section, as with any other mailbox.
  • New sequences spread across all your connected mailboxes, Instantly ones included. A sequence keeps the mailbox it started from.
  • To keep a mailbox out of Starlight, click Remove beside it. The workspace stays connected and you can bring the mailbox back any time.

Replies

Replies arrive in Instantly's Unibox and Starlight reads them from there every fifteen minutes during the day, matches them to the person they answer, and drafts your reply in the Inbox. Replies you send from the Inbox go back out through the same Instantly mailbox, in the same thread.

Keeping in sync

Starlight re-reads the workspace about once an hour, so a mailbox you buy or pause in Instantly shows up here on its own. Click Sync now under the card to refresh straight away. If Instantly stops accepting the key, the card says so and asks for a new one; nothing else changes.

Disconnecting

Click Disconnect on the Instantly card. Starlight forgets the key and the mailboxes. Sequences that were sending from them move to another connected mailbox, or wait until you connect one. You can also revoke the key in Instantly at any time.
