How does Starlight find leads?
Starlight searches a database of 250M+ verified B2B contacts. When you type a natural language query, AI translates it into structured filters (title, industry, location, company size) and returns matching prospects with contact information.
How does the AI personalize messages?
Starlight combines your campaign brief, product description, ideal customer profile, and writing samples to draft messages that connect your offering to each prospect's specific situation. Turn on Research in the Outbound builder and the AI also searches the web for each recipient's background, company news, and recent activity.
How do I send LinkedIn and X messages?
Install the Starlight Chrome extension from the Chrome Web Store and pair it from Connectors. Drafted LinkedIn DMs, connection requests, and X DMs then send in one click, and LinkedIn replies sync back to your Inbox automatically.
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The free plan gives you 200 credits/month with no credit card required. You only need payment information when upgrading to a paid plan.
What happens when I run out of credits?
AI-powered actions will prompt you to upgrade. Already-scheduled messages stay queued and will send when credits become available (either through a plan upgrade or monthly reset). Manual actions like viewing contacts continue working normally.
Can I use my own email domain?
Yes. Connect your Gmail or Outlook account to send outreach from your own email address. Starlight sends messages as you — recipients see your name and email, not Starlight's.
Is my data secure?
Yes. OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM. Starlight uses passwordless authentication (Google OAuth or magic links) — no passwords are stored. Only your team can access your data.
Can I use Starlight with a team?
Yes. Invite team members from Settings → Team. Everyone shares the company's credit pool. The Owner manages billing, and all members have full access to features.
Do unused credits roll over?
No. Credits reset every 30 days. Unused credits do not carry over to the next billing cycle.
How does the blacklist work?
Emails are automatically blacklisted when they bounce or when recipients report spam or unsubscribe. You can also manually add emails under Deliverability → Blacklist. Blacklisted addresses are excluded from all future outreach.
Can I export my contacts?
Yes. Export contacts as a CSV file or sync them directly to HubSpot CRM. Each contact export costs 2 credits.
What email sending limits apply?
Starlight enforces configurable daily limits per connected email account. Gmail allows up to 500 emails/day for personal accounts and 2,000/day for Google Workspace. Messages are automatically scheduled during business hours to optimize deliverability.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Go to Settings → Plans & Billing and select the Free plan. Your data is preserved — you keep access to all contacts, messages, and sequences at 200 credits/month.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Go to Settings → Support to report a bug or suggest a feature, or use the Feedback button in the top-right corner of any page. We read everything.
