Getting started
Sign up, sign in, ten onboarding steps, and what happens in the first 36 hours.
|
Starlight takes business development off your plate. You subscribe, spend about fifteen minutes on setup, and personalized email and LinkedIn outreach goes out in your name until qualified meetings land on your calendar. This page is the whole path from sign up to live.
1
1. Sign up
Sign up at joinstarlight.com/checkout. Payment is $2,800 a month through Stripe, with no setup fee, no annual plan, and no minimum term. You can pause or cancel any time.
2
2. Sign in with the same email
After payment you land on a welcome page. Sign in with the exact email you paid with (Google, or a magic link sent to your inbox). Your account is created from the payment, so there is nothing else to register.
3
3. Finish onboarding
Onboarding is eight short steps with a guide to walk you through them: your company, what you sell (Starlight scans your website), who you buy from, your LinkedIn profile, connect email, connect calendar, LinkedIn, and booking your kickoff call.
4
4. Kickoff call
A 20 minute call with Spencer in the next couple of days. You and Spencer agree who to reach and what to say, and he signs in to your LinkedIn with you, so keep your phone close in case LinkedIn texts a code. If you use text codes, he also helps you switch to an authenticator app so you never have to send one again.
5
5. Live within 36 hours of the call
Spencer researches your buyers, writes the first outreach in your voice, and starts sending from your accounts. The first personalized messages go out within 36 hours of the kickoff call or you get a full refund. See the 36 hour guarantee.
What Spencer needs from you
- The Gmail or Outlook account outreach should come from, connected with a secure sign in
- Your calendar, so meetings land where you will see them
- Your LinkedIn login, entered in onboarding, and 20 minutes on the kickoff call so Spencer can sign in with you (see LinkedIn and email access)
- A sentence or two on who your best customers are
What happens in the first 36 hours
- Spencer reads your website and LinkedIn and builds a plain language picture of what you sell and who buys it
- He picks the first audience and the angle to lead with
- He writes the first batch of personalized messages in your voice
- Outreach starts going out from your email and your LinkedIn
- Spencer emails you when setup is done, and again once your outreach is running
- You see volumes on Home the same day, and your first weekly update the following Friday
Tip
The more you share in the notes step (a customer story, a favorite past email, who to avoid), the sharper the first batch. You can always add more from Settings.
