|

Connect Attio to import existing people into Starlight or export your Starlight leads to Attio.

Setup

1

1. Go to Connectors

Click Connectors in the sidebar

2

2. Click Connect Attio

Under the CRM section, click Connect next to Attio

3

3. Authorize with Attio

Choose your Attio workspace and grant Starlight permission to read and write records

Importing from Attio

Import your existing Attio people into Starlight:

1. Go to Contacts and click Import

2. Click Import from Attio

3. Starlight fetches all people from your Attio workspace, including their company names

4. Contacts are deduplicated by email — existing leads won't be duplicated

Imported contacts appear in your Contacts page with status "New".

Exporting to Attio

Export Starlight leads to your Attio workspace:

1. Select contacts from the Contacts page

2. Click Export to Attio

3. People are matched by email address in Attio, so exporting someone who already exists updates their record instead of creating a duplicate

Field Mapping

Companycompany (import only)

Company is read from the person's linked company record on import but isn't written on export, since Attio links people to company records rather than storing a company name. Phone numbers are only exported when they include a country code (for example +1), because Attio validates them strictly.

Deduplication

Starlight tracks which leads are linked to Attio records via an internal ID. On re-import or re-export:

  • People already linked are updated, not duplicated
  • New people are created in the target system
  • Matching is done by the stored Attio record ID first, then by email

Disconnecting

Go to Connectors and click Disconnect next to Attio. Your existing contact data in Starlight is preserved, but future syncs won't work until you reconnect.
